Karate

Karate is a popular sport for a number of the students at Sacred Heart.  We have students who train and compete for local clubs and come together to compete for the College at regional and national secondary school events.

Throughout the year we also offer students a chance to ‘have a go’ at karate and are very lucky to have Robbie Smith, from Hamilton Wado-Kai Karate Club www.wadokai.co.nz and Karate New Zealand National Coach, to assist with these introduction to karate sessions.  Karate as a self defence is also offered at the College from time to time.
