Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is another popular and fast growing sport amongst secondary school students.

In 2009 Sacred Heart Girls’ College entered a team for the first time into the National Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Relay held in Rotorua.  For the three students who competed in this event it was a new experience and a culmination of 6 weeks training.

We are also very lucky in Hamilton to have easy access to the Pukete Farm Park where the Hamilton Mountain Bike Club train and compete.  Students are encouraged to link with this Club and participate in their events all year round.
