Welcome to Sacred Heart Girls’ College – Our School.

We are a Catholic Mission College and ensure that all of our students are given the opportunity to gain personal excellence in their education. We base our ethos on the spirit and values of Euphrasie Barbier, Foundress of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions.

We have an enduring commitment to maximise the individual potential of every student. It is our belief that each student contributes in her unique way to the rich tapestry which binds our College together. It is our belief that our task is to help unfold and explore each student’s talents and interests.

At Sacred Heart Girls’ College we work with the belief that education is a holistic process. This focus enables us to enhance our student’s best qualities, equipping them to be compassionate, confident, connected, actively involved, critical thinkers, innovative, independent, and resilient life long learners who will contribute  positively as local and global citizens.

We continually encourage and support our students to strive for personal excellence in their academic, spiritual, cultural and sporting pursuits, knowing that they do so within a safe, caring and Christian context.

Our motto “Age Quod Agis - whatever you do, do to the best of your ability” underpins all we do at our College. It inspires our students to step-up to accept the variety of challenges and opportunities we offer. We are proud of the well-rounded and self-assured young women who graduate from our College, ready to meet the challenge of the 21st Century as Women of Virtue and Knowledge.

Our strong Catholic character permeates all aspects of our school. One of the ways we acknowledge this character is in our expectation that each of our students will engage in activities of service. It is through such service that our students are encouraged to strive for Justice, and in so doing reflect and share the Truth, Love and the Peace of the Gospel.
