Over the long King’s Birthday weekend, both our 1st XI Hockey Team and Netball Premier team travelled to New Plymouth to compete in the Mission cup (Netball) and Te Toa (Hockey) Tournament.
Both codes had some nail-biter games with our hockey girls up against Sacred Heart New Plymouth in the final which went to a penalty shoot out, then sudden death, which unfortunately we lost.
Netball was consistent with strong competition finishing 4th overall. We are very proud of our girls for their sportsmanship and resilience – there were many intense games and immense teamwork!
Congratulations to Sacred Heart Girls' College – New Plymouth for taking out the Mission Cup and Te Toa Shield (we were pipped at the shoot outs for this!)
