Kapa Haka

At the start of every school year, students, staff and our community guests, including local Kaumatua, are welcomed onto the Sacred Heart site with a pōwhiri and performances by the College Kapa haka group Ngākau Tapu.

Students have the opportunity to join the Kapa haka rōpū to learn or extend their Māori heritage and culture through performing arts. The rōpū is an exciting and rewarding way to learn in a stimulating environment, showcasing the beauty and power of Māori performing arts.
