Sacred Heart athlete Kenzye Gemmell represented Waikato at the NZ Gymnastics Nationals in Invercargill recently. She gained National placings as follows:
- 3rd Place in NZ for Individual Trampoline
- 5th Place in NZ for Synchronised Trampoline (with partner Bria)
- A Proficiency Pin: for mastering the level of gymnastics competed in, indicating a high level of skill.
After eight months of recovering from an injured back and with only 12 weeks to train for the Nationals, her family said her pure determination “was incredible.”
