We need caring host couples and families located in Hamilton to welcome our students into their homes.
We continually receive enquiries from overseas students who want to come to our beautiful country, study at our school, become part of a family, and have a wonderful Kiwi experience! You could help by becoming a host family!

Excellent remuneration $320 per week in 2024 is offered – paid fortnightly.

How long do students stay?
The duration can vary, from short stays of two weeks or one term to a year or more. Once you are on our files, we can contact you whenever a suitable match comes through.
Do I need a daughter who attends the College to qualify?
No, not at all. A host sister certainly helps, but we have a buddy system in place. Any family that satisfies the selection criteria can host a student. Like our students, every host family is different.
What does a host family have to provide?
Host families are responsible for meals, transportation to and from school (or help with buses), and a clean, safe living environment. Our students should balance study with a range of Kiwi sporting and cultural activities. Students cover the costs of their personal items and activities.
What should my student call me?
Anything you like – formal (eg. Mr, Mrs) or more casual (eg. your first name, Mum, Dad and Aunty have been popular).
Do I clean their room or pick up after them?
No, the student should pick up after themselves, and once settled in the home, help with household chores – becoming a valued member of the family.
